Smart Startup HR is a Black woman-owned HR consultancy firm.  Tasha Kitty (she/her),CEO & President, has 20 years of HR, Insurance & Benefits, Learning & Development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion experience.  She’s worked  in a variety of industries in the private, public and non-profit space.  Tasha launched Smart Startup HR in 2020 after a successful in-house HR career serving in various positions such as Chief People Officer, VP of People and VP of HR, Learning & Development. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and minors in English and African-American Studies, Master’s Degree in Intercultural Relations, is a Cornell University Certified Diversity Practitioner and completed the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination certified Train the Trainer program.  Her specialty credentials include MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), 360 CCL Manager, Executive and Employee Assessment Coaching, Master Life Coach and SPHR (Senior Professional Human Resources) Certification.   Tasha has spoken and presented as a panelist and served as a moderator for virtual and in-person events, conferences (including Scene + Heard and Startup Boston week) and portfolio exclusive webinars on ‘all things‘ HR.  She’s a Board Member at Codman Square Community Health Center, Advisory Council member for SMASH Northeastern, a founding member of Chief Boston and a long-time mentor with Thrive Scholars.
