I am a true Bostonian, born and raised in Boston. I opened my first salon 26 years ago with not much more than a vision and ambition, I definitely had what is now referred to as an "entrepreneurial spirit". 

When I decided to become an entrepreneur 26yrs ago, I didn't have money saved and I was a new Mom. I took a leap of faith because I couldn't see myself not bringing my vision of being an entrepreneur into fruition. I didn't have a business loan from a bank or a business line of credit(and never have) and yet her I am in 2024, still in business because of hard work, a vision, and faith. I also have four wonderful daughters that I have to ensure see me strive for excellence.

As a Black woman in business I have faced many challenges but I stand firm that "WE" deserve to be in every place and space in the city. I am a firm believer in community, there is enough out her for all of us and there's power in numbers. A win for one is a win for all and collectively we can accomplish and retain more.
